BHW Services is a home watch company in Fort Myers, Florida. We walk through your house or condo on a set schedule while you are away, check for the problems that cause expensive damage in Southwest Florida, and send you a written report after every visit.
What is home watch?
Home watch is a service where a trained person checks on an unoccupied property on a regular schedule and reports what they find. An alarm tells you when a door opens. A home watch visit finds what an alarm cannot: a slow leak under a sink, an A/C that quit, a pool pump that stopped, a lanai screen the wind tore, or pests that moved into the garage.
Why Southwest Florida homes need it
Heat, humidity and storms are hard on an empty house. If the A/C stops, indoor humidity climbs and mold can start to grow quickly. A small leak that runs for two weeks costs far more than one found the same week. Hurricane season runs from June 1 to November 30, and a home that sat empty through a storm needs someone to look at it quickly afterward.
Many of our clients spend the summer up north or travel often. Others own a vacation or investment home that sits empty between guests. If you are gone for more than a week or two, the property is better off with regular visits.
What a home watch visit includes
- A walk through every room, looking for leaks, stains, moisture, odors and signs of pests
- A check that the A/C is running and holding the temperature you set
- Water run through sinks, showers and toilets so traps do not dry out
- Doors, windows, garage and lanai slider checked inside and out
- Pool equipment, irrigation and landscaping where they are part of your plan
- Mail and packages collected and kept inside
- A written report after every visit, with photos of anything that needs attention

How it works
- You tell us about the house. Address, alarm and access details, and anything you want checked.
- We agree on a schedule. Weekly or every other week, with extra checks around storms.

We set the schedule around your travel and your property. Weekly visits are a common choice, and some homes that are fully shut down need less. We will recommend a schedule when you request a quote.

An alarm or camera tells you when something triggers it or shows what it can see. A home watch visit checks for slow leaks, A/C failures, pests, pool equipment problems and storm damage, and a person can act on what they find.
What do I get after each visit?
A written report that covers what we checked and what we found. If something needs attention, the report says what we saw and includes photos.
What happens after a hurricane?
When it is safe to travel, we check the property inside and out, photograph any damage and send you a report so you can contact your insurance company and contractors.
How do I get a quote?
